Jewelers and bead makers require energy to fire up their torches to join, alter, and melt metal and glass. Older, more basic torches ran on kerosene but today, multi-metal jewelers expect their torches to match the versatility of their needs. LPG is the clean energy solution that provides them with the heat to craft beautiful ornaments.

It produces very powerful, carbon-free flame and can be as sharp as needle. This type of flame is required for jewellers and goldsmiths to make very fine gold or silver ornaments.

One of the most important pieces of equipment a jeweller needs is the soldering torch. Nearly every ornamental piece requires some amount of soldering - which is the process of joining two pieces of metal together using heat.
In this particular application, several variants of the LP Gas spectrum are used for different purposes in jewellery making.

Butane (only) torches do not get very hot and are useful when soldering very fine pieces of jewellery, such as small chains or rings. Propane torches are hotter than butane torches. Oxypropane variants are ideal for delicate work on jewellery as they produce a tiny flame. MAPP gas is a combination of LPG and methylacetylene-propadiene. It is a non-toxic, easily detectable, stable, high-energy fuel. They are used in soldering, annealing, flame cutting, and flame-hardening. It heats faster and better than propane torches but doesn't have the flame flexibility of an oxy/propane torch.

LPG is a clean-burning fuel that doesn't cause metal to oxidise as readily as acetylene. It is also cheaper to buy and setup. Furthermore, the working also environment remains free from polluting gases and thus is conducive for workmen.
