LPG or more comonly called Autogas when used for automotive purposes, is a true alternative to traditional fuels. Fast and economical to switch to, it is a clean, environmentally friendly option. These features have made Autogas the most widely used alternative fuel in the world and it gains popularity with also many other engine types on the road and off the road.

It is an environmentally friendly fuel that besides emitting significantly less polluting particles, it also reduces noise pollution in towns and cities compared to diesel and to a degree even to petrol alternatives.

In many countries it costs around half the price of petrol or diesel enabling businesses and individual to save significantly on their running costs, in addition to the environmental benefits. Driving an LPG car and any other type of LPG fuelled vehicle, is safe, easy and, efficient compared to diesel or petrol alternatives. Environment wise, it constitutes a great option emitting less CO2 to the atmosphere aiding the efforts against global warming, reduction of carbon foot print while allowing for financial savings. For businesses and profesionals, running vehicles on LPG sends positive environmental messages about the organization.

Especially in heavy duty (HD) applications, due to higher volume consumptions, incuding also in off road applications, its advantages are even more significant. Such uses can be on buses of all types, school buses, public transport, transit or tourist buses, tourist, trucks or every size, refuse trucks, utility trucks, fork lift trucks, automated guided vehicles (HGVs), construction equipment, mining vehicles and equipment, trains, power generators, agricultural equipment, irrigation units, farming tractors, heavy duty lawn mowers or marine vessels,  For static applications, LPG fuelled engines can be found in combined heat and power (CHP) units, freezing units refrigeration and air-conditioning,

As a partial substitute to diesel in diesel engines, it can be easily used with minimum modifications in existing diesel engines of various sizes offering environmental and economical advantages.  This substitution can range from 15% to 50% total contents of LPG in the mix and often called as Diesel - LPG fuel mix, or Diesel - LPG substitution or Dual fuel Diesel - LPG
