Propane-fuelled flame weeding provides multiple advantages over chemical and mechanical weed management methods and is effective in both conventional and organic crop production systems.
During flame weeding, propane-fuelled burners expose weed plant tissues to high levels of heat that rapidly change the internal temperature of plant cells and cause them to rupture.
